Answers
The questions every tender asks
A short answer, and a source for each one. Nothing here is rounded up.
- Where is the data held?
- With an ISO/IEC 27001-certified provider in the EU. Operations run at Hetzner, and the certificate is theirs, for the data centres the system runs in.
- Do you sign a data processing agreement?
- Yes. You are the data controller and CitizenOne is the data processor under Article 28 of the GDPR. The agreement covers sub-processors, security and deletion.

- What does it cost, and is the price public?
- The prices are on the pricing page, in euros, not behind a sales call.

- What is the notice period?
- The subscription renews automatically, and the notice period is three months.
- What happens to a deleted journal?
- It cannot be restored. Data is encrypted and CitizenOne has no access to it, so a deletion is final. That is a property, not a limitation.
- Can we bring our current data with us?
- Yes. Data review, export, import, setup and onboarding are part of the move, and it can be ordered without buying anything first.

- Do you have an agreement for large organisations?
- Yes, CitizenOne Enterprise from 50 licences. The price is negotiated in a quote, and data migration, payment in instalments by invoice and a dedicated contact are part of the agreement.
