Calendar via iCal and CitizenOne
Published by CitizenOne
Staff see their shifts in the calendar their phone already opens, without signing in to CitizenOne to check when the next shift is.
What the integration moves
Your own shifts and appointments are published as a subscription the calendar updates itself.
The subscription is personal and read-only.
The link can be renewed, and the old one then stops working.
Setup
How to start using it
What needs doing, and by whom. We go through the steps with you during implementation.
- 1
Get your link
The employee gets their own subscription link in CitizenOne.
- 2
Subscribe in the calendar
The link is added as a calendar subscription on a phone or computer. After that, the shifts arrive by themselves.
What it requires of you
- A calendar that can subscribe to iCal. Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook can.
Where in the system it is used
The modules describe the integration from their own side, because each uses it for something different. Here they are as they appear on each module's own page.
- Rota and shift planning
- Subscribe to your own shifts in the calendar you use privately.
Questions
Can others see my shifts if they get the link?
Yes, which is why the link is personal. If in doubt, renew it: the old link stops working straight away.
Can I change a shift in my calendar?
No. The subscription is read-only. The shift schedule is changed in CitizenOne, so the change is made in one place.
