Power BI and CitizenOne
Published by Microsoft
The figures from CitizenOne in the report management already looks at. The integration exposes data; it does not bring anything in.
What the integration moves
Finance, enquiries and cases can be pulled as data sources.
The organisation gets its own key, and it can be revoked.
The period is chosen in the query, so a report can fetch one month at a time.
Setup
How to start using it
What needs doing, and by whom. We go through the steps with you during implementation.
- 1
Activate the app
Power BI is switched on as an app for the organisation.
- 2
Get the key
CitizenOne issues a key to your organisation. It is yours, and it can be revoked and issued again.
- 3
Connect the report
The report points at the data source with the key. From then on it refreshes itself on the schedule you set in Power BI.
What it requires of you
- Power BI in your organisation, and someone who can build the report.
- A decision on who may see the figures. The key gives access to data about the whole organisation.
Where in the system it is used
The modules describe the integration from their own side, because each uses it for something different. Here they are as they appear on each module's own page.
- Daily overview
- Pulls figures from CitizenOne into the organisation's own reports.
Questions
Can Power BI write back to CitizenOne?
No. The integration only goes one way.
Is personal data included?
The data sources are designed for management figures. What they contain has to be agreed as part of the setup, and it belongs in a data processing agreement.
