Microsoft 365 and CitizenOne
Published by Microsoft
Staff sign in with the work account the organisation already manages, and mail is fetched from the same account.
What the integration moves
Sign-in with the organisation's Microsoft account.
The inbox is read in CitizenOne: unread, sent mail, reply and forward.
Access renews itself until it is withdrawn.
Setup
How to start using it
What needs doing, and by whom. We go through the steps with you during implementation.
- 1
The IT administrator gives consent
Consent is given once for the organisation. After that, staff can connect their own accounts.
- 2
The employee connects their account
Sign in with the work account. No new password is created in CitizenOne.
What it requires of you
- Microsoft 365 with work accounts.
- An IT administrator who can give consent in Microsoft Entra.
Where in the system it is used
The modules describe the integration from their own side, because each uses it for something different. Here they are as they appear on each module's own page.
- Secure email
- Connect the employee's work account with Microsoft sign-in. An IT administrator gives consent once.
Questions
Does CitizenOne get access to everyone's mail?
No. Access is given per employee, to the account that employee connects.
Can access be withdrawn?
Yes, both by the employee in CitizenOne and by the IT administrator in Microsoft Entra.
